Do any of you have experience with Rotatrim vs Dahle
paper cutters? Which are best?

Many thanks.

No experience with the Dahle, but we love my Rotatrim around here. Rugged,
precise, easy to use on anything up to 4-ply mat board. Expensive, but worth
it.

All best,
Bruce

Do you think it could be aligned?
I have a Rotatrim. They have an excellent reputation but I've been
disappointed with mine. The guide on the lfar left isn't perfectly
perpendicular to the cutting edge, so you have to use your eye to get a
straight cut.

RE: "Joseph Schutz" <***@none.com>

I bought a Premier 318, 18 inch, paper cutter. It cuts very square.
$64.95 from Valley Litho. They can be reached from Google. It will see
duty in the darkroom. For mats I'll likely buy an Altos mat cutter. Dan

This must be why the Rotatrims are so expensive when it comes to s/h.
I did some research a month or so ago on the pricing. This site was
the cheapest (s/h is free):

Our 24" has worked like a champ for us.

[...]Also, the Rotatrim is heavier for any given size because
its base is laminated MDF while the Dahle Cut Cat is sheet metal (here the
Dahle is actually more robust). I've never had a problem with either
trimmer...I got the Rotatrim to fill a need for a larger trimmer so it is
newer and was manufactured in an ISO-9001 factory (just means all procedures
are documented which serves to yield CONSISTENT product, good or bad,
depending on what their procedures tell them to do).[...]
